Orion Driver Goes Above and Beyond to Serve His Community
February 2nd, 2021 – (for IMMEDIATE RELEASE) Orion Waste Solutions Driver, Tyson Hailey, helped a young victim to safety after a serious car crash in Augusta, Georgia. Tyson, a father of two himself, jumped into action to make sure 16-year-old, Mary Margaret Barbee was alright. He saw the young girl and knew she might need assistance. His immediate thought was, “I need to go see if anyone is hurt.”
Tyson sprang into action, helping direct traffic until the authorities came and comforted all parties involved. Mary’s mother, Mrs. Floyd was so appreciative, she reached out to Orion to meet Tyson and thank him in person. “Every time I see that big, blue truck now, I’m going to say a thank-you prayer,” Mary’s mother said during the meeting.
The emotional meeting was captured by the local news. It was his professional career that put him on Washington Road that day, but it was his experience as a father that lead to his brave actions.
